No kidding that has got to make it worth an extra 10 dollars just for the wording.

It seriously does for me. It's a momento to HF. Plus, this anti-taco device is to helis what women refer to as a "conversation piece" in furniture.

4 more flights today and still have not confirm if device preform as designed. Got close though. Un-planned blade scrape and nose scrape in one flight. Maybe I need to rename it anti-crash device.

Wow, you got very close indeed.

I'd be scared to crash it just because I wouldn't have spares in stock for repair.

Have you got enough flights in to give us your initial impressions on the new heli?

It flies great! More powerful than any other 450 I've own. Very fast on the cyclic, I can set 78 on my cyclic swash mix (11 degrees of cyclic).. The canopy is a little tight, so I'll probably have to sand the bottom a little so it fits better. I love the TT, I can get the tail spinning as fast as I want and stops on a dime. I can get only about 4min from my style of flying at 100 flat curve. (30C 2200 packs).

I think Bob film that for the MS composite blade review. He also film me a couple times to get me crashing on video, but no luck

Thanks for the info. I'm really liking the sound of this new heli, but I've got like $350 just in V2 spare parts. I've finally gotten mine flying great, but I really like the idea of a TT. Maybe just the V2 TT upgrade and a new motor...

I wonder how this would do with a 100 flat throttle curve on 12T? I'm not stick banging yet (well, somewhat, but nothing like you anyway), and the extra flight time would be great...I'm just looking for a little less bog than my 430xl.

Here's the link to flight video (which is very impressive): https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=129438

Thanks again Fireup...If I keep hearing such good things about the new heli, I might need one for myself.

Ok, it happened. I was hoping I get 50 flights before the first crash, but it was only 15.

Tail hit ground from too low piro flip. Tail spin out of control but was right side up. I added power to gain altitude for an auto but realized main blade was also damaged. Hit hold and lose all head speed, it nose dive to hard ground.

Damages:
Blades
Main shaft
Torque tube
Landing gear
busted canopy
bend in motor mount.

Sorry, Bob's in Hawaii so no video.

Good news ATD perform as designed.

So all the tail drive gears were fine and only the TT snapped? Maybe align is making them the weak link on purpose (or by accident). They are all breaking in the same spot...

Yes, the ATD looks like it worked perfectly!

Yep, TT gears all good. LHS had mainshaft and landing gears, but no TT shaft. So I just epoxy and ready to go again tomorrow.

I hope it holds, but from what I've seen so far, it'll probably be stronger now with the epoxy.

Thanks for the crash update... I'm thinking 450 Pro w/ Jazz 40 and Scorpion -8 on 4S... You think 4S would be a waste of time/money? From what I've seen, it's really strong on 3S, but everyone's running 30C packs...I'm not going for crazy HS, just an unboggable heli.
