Default Mostro E flights

Finally got a decent day in Ohio. Flew the Mostro.

I love it. Flys like a bullet!

It just renewed my love for it. I hope parts keep coming. If they stop I guess I will have to start making my own

I flew one of mine today too.
Totally awesome, best flying heli ever!
Flew my Protos Max V2 also and it flies good but the Mostro is the best.

I flew mine too! It is nice to fly when the sun is out.
Still lots of ice on the ground here in Michigan buy it got to 48 degrees.

I try to fly every weekend as long as it is at least 25 F and not snowing.

Got to fly today, but took a few items in the car rather than the whole trailer. The Mostro wasn't with me and man I missed it.

I'm gonna be flying mine until I can't fandangle anything I need, and that looks like it might be forever.

It's a keeper.

I'll have to take your words for it. Mine never made it off the ground and in all likelihood never will.

I got one of the "train wreck" kits that had every reported issue except one but added a screwed up swash to make up for the missing defect and actually had several defective parts replaced with parts that were marginally less defective than the originals.

Both the Mostro and a cinder block that I keep handy gather dust but the Mostro is easier to clean as its surfaces are less porous. However it doesn't fly any better than the cinder block. I can verify that the reports from other owners that the Mostro is very quiet are indeed true - it makes no more noise than the cinder block as they are both dead silent. It is slightly less functional than the cinder block insofar as I doubt it would make a very good wall.

Cost wise it was a good deal more than the cinder block and does not hold its value as well. In fact it doesn't hold its value much better than paper currency that's been burned and the ashes scattered to the four winds.

You're welcome, Polly Anna.

Though, realistically, there's no way any of your parts will suddenly and inexplicably mutate into the examples they included with the cursed kits.

You should be good right up until you crash - and probably crash pretty hard at that.

I keep it as a reminder to not let myself be swayed by overly enthusiastic early adopters. Once I feel the lesson has been sufficiently driven home I'll march it to the dumpster. All electronics have been rescued and re-purposed with the exception of the KDE motor - I don't really have a use for that thing presently.

True that when it comes to early adopters. I was not one of the guys waiting in line for half a day to buy the first iPhone.

However
I am in the market for spares.

If you want to sell it PM me with pics and price.

I'll bet it's worth more than a cinder block. 😀

Well, we've just been reminded that sales threads don't belong here but oddly enough I found an outgoing PM to the last guy who expressed an interest. It was almost exactly a year ago today.

Suffice to say it didn't sell when I listed out all the issues encountered and that was before the swash started giving me grief or I had to resort to nylocks to assemble the tail pitch "L" bracket (hole had been over-drilled at the factory).

I seriously don't think it's safe.

If one the blade grips let go or the tail pitch control quit there's some potential for grief out of that thing. The head is held together with threadlock and the picture of the tail pitch fix doesn't fill me with confidence either.

Done and responded.

I hadn't considered it as an organ donor before but it might serve well in that role.

Don't give up - I didn't die (yet). I'm still packing challenged but I found all the big parts.

As of earlier today:

It's more of a struggle than I would have guessed but we're closing in.

Good deal. Looks like most of it is there

Let me know if you want to part with it.

It certainly took long enough but I patted its little behind on the way out of the office today.

Let's hope the pink plastic peanuts do their job.

You've been commendably patient.
