Default Proper position of piston in GT15 Hz

Guy's i noticed there were 2 different cutouts on the bottom of the OS GT15 Hz piston. Which one should be facing up towards the screw hole in the motor casing where you take the pin out of? I have included the pics as well.

The exploded view on the last page (of the attachment) shows the correct orientation of the piston.

Also the plan view, shown without the head, shows the location of the piston ring retaining pin.

If you are going to keep those wrist pin retaining circlips then make sure they are orientated per the exploded diagram.

Larger machined surface points forward, piston ring retainer points about ~10-11 o'clock
