Do you ever get the feeling the weather is against you??
I just wanted to share my frustration with mother nature... I finally got my bits from an overseas supplier... unusually late too might i add!! This was to finalise the fitout for my new 500 3G kit and now it seems when i have a spare moment it wants to blow a gale or rain, just enough to warrant the ejection from a quick trip down to the local park!! gggaaaarrrrhhhh!!!

The feeling is mutual. Im also in the process dialing up my newly installed mini v on my 500 but the weather here in UK is what they call " rubbish".

if you buy a sail boat the wind will never blow again, if you buy a rc heli, the wind will blow your house days every day. just how it works lol

Went flying yesterday before noon and it was so cloudy I was having a hard time seeing the heli. After 1:00 the clouds disappeared but my batts were discharged.
Todays forecast, winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts over 40. Only on my days off!

Mate, move here to Seattle, then instead of random rubbish weather it'll reliably be crap from October until April. I was out today with the 250 (new 500 is still on bench) and only time it was calm when I was replacing the batteries.

i wold still fly as long as the wind was pretty constant and not going from completely calm toa 40mph gust. 30mph winds had little negative effect on my 500

Just get a FBL heli and wind will not be an issue anymore for ya! I was out at the field yesterday with 20mph winds that were quite gusty. My old Trex 500 would handle it but it really wouldn't be any fun. My new 550 3G had NO problems whatsoever. It just sat there perfectly still waiting for me to tell it what to do. What really sold me on FBL was watching a buddy fly his 450 Pro 3G in that wind. Same thing, solid and stable as the rock of Gibraltar. Just getting ready to head out to the field now and it's the same way, oh well. Just another day in paradise. Have fun guys and may the heli Gods smile down upon you.
