Default Oxy3 Cube on Blade 300 CFX

Anyone know if the Oxy Cube 3-Blade head would fit on the Blade 300 CFX? Anyone tried it?

I've been day dreaming about this for a while now...
If both main shafts are the same diameter (3mm IIRC), I don't see a reason why it wouldn't fit...

I've been toying with the idea of adding triple tail blades to my 285XL but I can't bear my self to splurge 90$ on an oxy3 qube tail assembly.

You might be better served just buying the Oxy 3 Qube kit. Pretty sure your electronics will just transfer over (if it's the stock eflite stuff, don't bother) and any who've flown both say the Oxy wins hands down. I haven't flown the Oxy myself but plan on repairing and selling on the 300CFX to make way for one. Oxy parts are cheaper than blade so crashes will be cheaper as well.

I don't think the holes on the main shaft line up. You might have to drill your own

Yeah, that was my worry. I knew the shafts were the same diameter, just didn't know if the holes would line up or all the links would be the right size.

Do you already have a Blade 300CFX?

I have an airframe. Or at least part of one. Probably just going to get rid of it, looking at it it seems like more trouble than it's worth

300cfx isn't bad with decent electronics but yeah, the oxy wins all around. Flies much better and is nicer to work on.

I still have my airframe. I've robbed the FBL and ESC off mine for the time being but hope to get it up in the air again some time. It's not bad, I got rid of all the aluminum bling, swapped the tail rotor with the one from gaui X3, threw a castle Talon 35 on, put some h3050/60's and MSH brain and it flew really well, even with stock motor. It was my beater bird that I was learning inverted on or back up when the Oxy was down. It crashes ok, usually just a spindle shaft, tail shaft, main shaft or main gear. My landing gear pop off in a crash since I'm using 3m tape to hold them on. The biggest issue people had with these things were the stock servos.

I won't lie, the Oxy 3 flys Great, parts replacement are pretty comparable and is very popular. My LHS still stocks parts for the 300 CFX so I'm keeping it for the time being.

You wouldn't happen to be needing a spare 300 CFX airframe would you?
