Default 450 DFC Head on a 450 SE V2?

Hey Guys, just finish building a T-Rex 450 SE V2 and was wondering if this bird can be fitted with the Align 450 DFC Head. Thanks for your inputs.

Default yes

It's supposed to, the kit claims as much
If your main shaft is fitted with the permanent collar, it will take the DFC kit.

Mostly certain

No

Not without modifications.

The head won't fit on your mainshaft the hole for the jesus bolt is too high up on the head to fit properly.

And

The DFC shaft places the main gear about 1.5 mm too high in the frame, The hub for the owb fouls the bottom bearing block.

You can consider grinding the collar off the dfc shaft and using the collar, this will place the head about 1.5mm lower than it sits on the pro, or you can consider removing material from the owb collar and raising the main gear about 1.5mm higher than stock.

The DFC kit comes with a new mainshaft with the holes in the right place.

It instructions on the kit say good to go for sport V2.

I have fitted to original sport by grinding the new collar off so I would think the V2 would work with the same or less effort.

Mostly certainish

The SE V2 and Sport V2 are different.

I would not grind the collar on the DFC main shaft. Just use instead of the top main shaft bearing ( 5 x 11 x 5 ) a more narrow one like 5 x 11 x 4 or 5 x 11 x 3.5, whatever provides a better fit.

My 2 cents.

Default Grinding is not so bad

Haven't looked
But would end up with smaller balls
or funny shaped ones.

In a mission critical area.

Mind you I was confused about models.

mostly apologetic
