Is your head speed higher in stunt mode? That could explain the difference. Also ,are you sure what gyro mode you are in when in normal vs stunt. They are set up seperately. Also, check for any binding through out the tail system and belt tightness.

Hi Rick thanks for your help yes my head speed is higher in stunt mode an the way i have my gyro setup is when i go from norm. to stunt i stay at 72% i can change it to go into a diff. percentage in stunt mode. If im getting a tail wag maybe i should lower the percentage say like 60% an see if theres a diff.
thanks Dewey

I dunno 72% seems high.

But I think the REAL problem is that your ball link is not in the right spot on the tail servo's horn. Having it too far out, especially on a responsive tail servo like the 3400G, will tend to make the tail over-correct to the gyro's inputs, causing that wag. You need to get that link as close as possible to the center screw on the servo. I actually had to drill a new hole that was ~4 mm from the center, although this was when I had a JR 500T gyro and now I use a 401 but there are no issues. I would look at the servo horns you have available and measure the distance the closest hole is from the spline and use the one with the shortest distance and go from there.

Also, make sure that the pitch slider is as close to center as possible on the tail shaft when the servo is in neutral. The servo arm should be perpendicular to the tail boom as well when the tail is centered. Make sure that you're not bumping the helicopter when you plug the battery in, the gyro needs a few seconds to initialize and record its center position and if you bump the helicopter you can screw it up and have to disconnect and try again. The tail will go to center when the gyro is initialized.
