Guys has anybody owned multiple pitch gauges, and can verify the better, easier to read gauge, for bigger birds. I own my stock e-flight gauge, kind of hard to level with flybar, especially on bigger birds. Thanks.

It's accurate to a tenth of a degree, repeatable, and works without having to level the heli.

Dumb question but when using the digital gauge do you still need to use a regular gauge to set zero pitch first?

I have had a couple of the smaller $10 gauges but recently got the Align $20 gauge and it's great. Very easy to use, fits all my blades (450, 500, 600) and gets the job done first time every time!

Nope, I just bubble level the flybar, and set the gauge in the grip it self.and adjust for 0 @ midstick.

Post #13 referenced above looks to be an excellent answer. If you don't want to buy the flybar lock, once zeroing the angle gage on the main gear, you could use it on the flybar for a good alignment of true 0.

The reason I like this method is that it should be more repeatable from person to person. When different people measure pitch angles at the field on the same heli, sometimes we disagree up to 2 degrees.

Cool deal on the digitals. I never thought the digitals would work worth a shit, because my bird never sits level on its skids, or my work bench for that matter, but never thought about being able to zero to make up for it. Cool.
