Default Need servo voltage help Please

Hi, I was going to get the Castle Talon 35 esc, but, I noticed the voltage output of the BEC is 5.5v and the servos I wanted to use are KST215's but show a voltage input of 6v. Will the .5vlt difference be a problem with these? Thanks

Hi,

They will run fine on 5.5v. You will just loose a tiny bit of torque, most likely will not notice it at all.
If it where me I would get an Castle Ice Lite 50A ESC. Data logging and full setup control.

Will the castle lite BEC handle the KST215s?

I thought the edge series had pretty weak BECs?

I use 40a YEP esc's on my 450's. Bec can handle any servos and the esc and programming card cost $27 combined.

5a peak bec of the Castle lite is fine for most 450's but I prefer 5a continuous rated like the YEP or Talon but that's more for peace of mind.

I was running the Yep 45 until it fried itself last week with the 215s and was fine on 5.5v. Got a Hw 50 on the way now. Going 6s soon.

Thanks everyone for the replies, think I may go with a bit bigger esc, I always like a little more "cushion" so to speak on the escs as the Align 35 comes pretty close to the max at 100% throttle.
