Default Raptor 30 to 50- Which gear ratio to use with os50 hyper?

Hi everyone, i'm looking for advice. I'm new to flying and was doing pretty well and it happened i crashed , bound to happen sooner or later any way i figure ill put on the upgrades i got but im not sure about which gear ratio to go with. i'm converting from a 30 to a 50. I also got a os 50sx hyper and i will be using the long boom with the 600mm blades. i have looked around and not found much on the subject and would appreciate input/opinons, since i dont have much experience, thanks Gene...

You will need to change the main gear and pinion to the R50 parts. I think you have the 9T Pinion and 86T Main Gear now, and the 50 uses a 10T Pinion and 85T Main gear.

You will like the upgrade to the 50.

Baja170 is correct, you need a 10T pinion and the lower 85T main gear. You will love the 50, having a longer boom, bigger blades and more power will put a big grin on your face. Let us know what blades you want to get.

PS. You can get the parts from some of the links on the home page. Here are a few ( www.heliproz.com ), ( www.ronlund.com ), ( http://www.realraptors.co.uk ). All great stores.
