Default Returned to mCPX. BL advice needed.

Dug out my early version mCPX. It got put aside when it got tired and tatty.
I can get it looking fine again with standard parts, perhaps metal head, swash and grips.
The main thing i am thinking of doing is going BL,i know little of the process and only done a small amount of research, sorry to be lazy, but it is easier to be told or advised.
I need a BL motor, esc and convertor for sure,is a extended boom a must with that?
Also are the standard cells ok to use? or do i need higher capacity or cell count.
The main problem i have is being in the UK upgrades are very limited and ordering from the US can at times can double the cost with shipping and taxes etc.I ahve seen one BL upgrade, well it is esc and convertor but the make is not shown, the part number is AIRMRX,would that mean anything to someone?Link might work.

One last question is pinion size, are pinions easy to get that fit the BL shaft with the correct teeth pitch.
Used to have big probs with Hornet and mini zoom pinions.

First off, I am not running brushless, but found this when I was checking it out. Seems like a steep price though, but it also seems pretty complete, and bonus, no soldering.

Hopefully others will let us know if this is a good running kit.

Still incomplete, but the articles on brushless mCP X and the basic brushless upgrade on the wiki have a fair bit of information and (hopefully) provide a useful overview.

Are you a mCPX guru at all with tips on where to buy mods here in the uk?Only found Buzzflyer so far with no BL mods listed.Like that mod kit from wow hobbies but had bad time before with added cost with our rip off system.

ah right lol i was thinking along the lines of fitbaw.

there's a few ways to go but if u want something that's PnP then some stuff can be found at fast lads or midland helicopters.

if your ordering stuff from the US try keep the valve around £20 a parcel and u won't get hit with anything, motors etc come straight through in 5 working days usually
