Default Quantum brushless motor

Just picked up a Quantum 4125-560kv to replace my stock Compass 6HV motor. I know it's a newer brand, but was curious if any of you guys were using a Quantum motor and what is your thoughts about it....power output, quality, does it run cool, how would you compare Quantum to other brands?
Even a mini review would be appreciated!

Check out the Fusion 50 area, that is where that motor is mostly used.

My Fusion has the same (560kv) Quantum 50. It runs cool and in 213 flights I haven't done a thing to it. I get longer flight times than I did with my Scorpion. A lot of Goblin guys use them too (I will too when I get one... I already have the motor)

Glad to hear it stays cool, one draw back of the Compass motor is it runs hot.
If this motor does well in the Fusion it should scream in the 6HV!

I put one of the 4135-530's in my 700E running a HeliJive since pretty much the start of the season this year and it has been running great.

Runs fairly cool if not a little cooler then some of the other motors in its class.

So far have been told not too and haven't seen any need for oiling the bearings.

Play's very nice with the HeliJive and I am not running it in KSA mode and have not had one single oddity with it this year (last year the stock Align and even in KSA mode had a few weird things).

Only thing I noticed is a little escaping of some oil from the top bearing at the first few weeks but haven't seen that in a while. Was probably breaking in the oil amount.

And on top of all of this, its much cheaper then other Hop-up motors in the same category.

As far as power goes the one I chose is about on par or maybe a tad more then the stock Align motor, but again, the one I chose is not the most powerful one I could have put in and per spec, is just about in line with the stock Align so I was thinking it would do more. I will say it did seem to knock me down about 30sec on my time for the packs I had. But this very well could be as this is also the second season on the same packs and especially for Turnigy's and even when stored right, they can loose some time from that.

I tell you what, for me, I don't mind losing a few sec to have found something that plays so well with my HeliJive as the last thing you want is a $1,800 dollar helo going down in a panic Auto from a safety shut off. Just to mention, that is not a knock on the Jive as I actually appreciate this as basically, the Jive is just more picky about quality...basically what I'm saying is given how it is this way, if its doing well with the Jive, I know I'm running a good and well built motor.

At the end of the day all in all, I have nothing but great things to say about the line and for sure would buy another one without even thinking about it.

Personally don't know why given how so many like finding things that work but are so much cheaper that these motors haven't gotten a much bigger following. Perhaps maybe as its not as pretty as others?

Perhaps too its that they haven't really expanded the line yet. Personally and especially for the price, I think if they had something for the 450 and 500 lines and especially in like the way they have a range of choices like they have in the 600-700 area, they would really take over things.
