Default autorotation

Hi everyone I write to you because I think to buy 450x helicopter as next step to my 300x. I want something bigger, powerful and can do autorotation.

I have practice on SIM and I can easily do autorotation with fast foward flight and slide soft landing on the target !!! I think autorotation is very very funny on the SIM with 450 class because the time to do a soft landing is short.

I have never practice autorotation in real life and I would like to know if is practically the same with 450x on the SIM?

Thank you for your answer

And sorry for my english I'm french Canadian

Real life autorotation with the 450x is much harder than the sim. It can be done but you have to bring in down hot and heavy and the hangtime is minimal. Has to be perfect.

I can usually get mine down ok, but it's very easy to tip over on the landing. Yet in the sim I can do them all day long.

It will auto, Its not the easiest. Soft grass is your friend when learning to auto the 450x

Learning autos into the wind also helps

I have done a few autos with the 450x from about 50'. And I can tell you it has to be just right. Like Primal said it is nothing like in the sim. If you are looking to upgrade to a heli that you want to learn to auto on I would look into at least a 550.

Hmm, then you need a 600 class bird - or at least get a 500. I have both.
(they can share batteries 500 on 6s and 600 on 12s - wink,wink - nudge,nudge)

A 600 really floats - fortunately, as I am still mostly a beginner when autoing.

Cheers
Erik
