Default Battery slider rails

Got some new battery trays along with slider rails.
Leaving the fact that it was a totally PITA to remove the foam from the new trays, in regards the rails, I installed them and now I cannot even slide in the tray.I thought that they might have been bent, but they are perfectly straight.

Noticed then that if I release a bit the holding screws, the trays slides in smooth. So what should I do now? Definitely not leave loose the screws considering they are keeping in place the Chronos frames stiffener.
Confused...

Maybe consider sanding the edges of one tray to see if it helps? Maybe start by simply rounding the edges slightly....??

Thanks Rob, done that, no success...Seems like it stops at 5cm after sliding into the rails.
The only way to get the tray in, is to release the screws that holds the rails....does not make sense at all.....

Doesn't make sense unless the screws protrude into the rail slot. I kept my original nuts installed since they work fine like they are.

Carbonfiber and G10 material does have some tolerances in thickness. Remove the rails and increase the holes for the bolts slightly like 2.7mm and reinstall it with the battery tray slide in before tighten the bolts completely.

Thanks Sebastian. Should increase the holes on the rails? Meaning I need bigger bolts?

Exclamation

OP- Where exactly is the resistance coming from? The battery tray is somewhat flexible, if you're using 2 straps (one at each end persay) it can make the tray bow in the middle and be difficult to slide in. Look down the length of the tray with the battery attached and see if their are any bends. Im using a strap in the middle also, all equal tightness and keeps thing straight.

The battery plates slides in about 15 cm then stops. No way even pushing hard it is going through. I did not used any straps at all. The issue is in the rail.Did not have time yet to try Sebastian tip..hopefully tomorrow.

Thanks

I am assuming the old plate(s) you had, had no problems sliding in. If this is so could it be that the new plates are a bit thicker?

BTW, On my Chronos and 7HVU I had to wind the strap back on the inner side to avoid the straps hitting the mainshaft.
