Default Vario Turbine Ecureuil AS 350

Won't do a full build thread, just update it every now and then.
Have sold my Bell 212 so now building this as a replacement.

Will have a Jakadofsky pro 5000 turbine and Futaba GY750 with S bus gear, full scale Starflex head and a fair bit of CineScale external detail parts, panels and rivets etc, in short, as full scale as i can make it, this thing is big, 2.5 metres long, luckily the boom removes easily for work and transportation.

Hehehe, ignore the old dude

Should be interesting i hope, Kevin, yep, built a few, sold a few, like building as you can see, always need something to do, as long as i move them on i can build another, can't store em all hehehe, PLUS some folks can't/don't like building, so others can benefit from my addiction LOL. and selling one funds another, once i have flown them / seen them fly i am happy.

Wish you lived closer. I'd love to just hang out, watch you work and "absorb" all those little tips and tricks you've developed over the years.....

I still want to get one of Rotor George's 1/4 scale 407s... hehehe

No woodwork supplied or shown for front floor etc, so made some card templates and made my own, i like to compartmentise all the electronics, fuel valves, ECU's etc so they can't move, also acts as a support for the glass flooring.
Door openings just rough cut for now.

Fuel tank fits inside lower mechanics.

Yes it's Vario, not many manufactures make them this big, so you are limited in choice.

hi, ive noticed on a few of vario fuselages that the rear stabilizers are too far forward, will you be moving them?

They seem slightly too far forward on the smaller petrol version, on this one it looks about right, but for the small if any adjustment, then no i wouldnt move them as the moulded location has a 8mm wide inner flange all round for the epoxy to bond to for strength, don't think compromising the strength for about 15mm at max of inaccuracy is worth the worry.

Ok, more window openings done, + holes in the wood formers for plumbing etc and second photo shows the floors and rear bulkhead test fitted, rear seats will cover the tiny bit of frame in the centre, so no mechanics whatsoever in cabin area.

I have finally decided on this scheme from Norway, like the skid steps on this also.
