Default Maidened!

My initial setup was pretty quick - I used a zip tie to level the swash, and eyeballed one blade with the grip mark - then ensured the other was level with that one at mid stick.

First flights at 2200;

First flight, noticed tracking was off. No screwdriver to adjust in my park though - so couldn't adjust. Upped the gain to 47, fixed some slow wag.

Second flight, noticed some strange slapping noise and a bit of slop in the tail. Bought her down, tail had slipped - and the belt was loose.

Got home, put the Heli on the bench - pulled the battery, turned around to hear a crash. Heli had fallen onto the floor, snapped the two nylon bolts and the boom was hanging loose.

Trust me to damage the damned thing out of flight.

Ohhhh crap, that just sucks! Sorry to hear. Look it over very well a couple times. I'd also take your tail rod loose and give it a good look over under light while lightly flexing it to be sure it didn't splinter.

Yep, all looks well.

I think I proved the disposable nature of the nylon nuts - they actually broke way easier than I was expecting.

Good news! Yes, they break pretty easily and you can stretch the threads by over tightening too. Happy flying!

Nyeh, it was an oversight at the time - i just chucked some random things in a bag and happened to forget one of the more important items.
