Default Throttle hold on 7C

How do you create a throttle hold on 7C for electric airplane?

Why do you need throttle hold? Just place the throttle stick at the bottom and the ESC will shut down.

Just for prevention, in case I move the stick by mistake while still on the ground.

you could always move the throttle stick to full throttle and then plug in the battery pack. This will prevent the ESC from arming. Any touching of the stick on the ground wont be an issue before takeoff. And if the ESC does arm you should hear some audiable tones to confirm it.

some ESC's go into programming mode this way.

Maybe you could try setting it up as a heli w/ a 90 degree swash if TH won't work for a plank setting.

Actually simply putting the stick midway will accomplish the same.

There is something called "Throttle Cut" which is a way to turn off a glow engine. I've never used it, but maybe it could be retasked here. I think it is available from the plane menu.

Its a bad habit to get into. Not all esc's have the low throttle safety system.

Actually pinguin I know what you are talking about as after having the 7C for several years using it on my helo's and then did my first plane, I was kinda surprised that the throttle cut on my 7C in plane mode didn't work with the same complete off action as it did in the helo mode.

And I applude you pinguin for wanting to go that extra step to make sure your throttle can not be activated as I have seen plane pilots even with their TC set bump their sticks and fire up a plane when and where they should have.

For me I though I did set mine up for a 100% off and it can be done but it has to be done with a mix.

I did mine last year so off the top of my head I don't remember just how to do it and since I got my 8FGS this year, I packed my 7C away and I don't have the time to get it out now.

But later tonight I will unbox it and see if I can't look at how it was done and when I do, I'll post the info.
