I mounted mine to the bottom of the Kosmik. The only downside is that I do have to drop the front pack to turn it off.

Ok it fits then, cool. Will do the same, thanks guys.
What size is the ball for the wall servo as I can't find that in my box of goodies but I have plenty here so mush have the correct size one somewhere Cant see it mentioned in the manual. What distance out on the cyclic servos do you have the balls at? same as the stock Diabolo? Got as far as installing the FBL unit servos and head last night.

no idea how long they are the best ones are the futaba heavy duty T horns and cut 2 of the arms off the short one and the other long arm. or get the ones from minicopter which are already machined.

Had to grind about 1-2mm off the end so the 2 cyclic fit.
So as it stands now, got the servos in and the FBL unit set up. Just got to sort the wiring then I can instal the boom and the rear fuse. In the last pic, what are those 2 bendy metal bits with a plastic coating on?

They're wire wraps, stop your leads from flapping around. Not standard MC but not a bad idea, can get them from electronics shops.

I used a regular TP 900mah 2s receiver battery and wired it inline with the kosmik slave line. I made a plug for it and velcro'd it below the kosmik ESC. I then used the ESC mount that comes with it, not the kosmik one, to make a battery tray under the ESC.. Slapped some Velcro on it.. Boom.. Backup battery done.. The front battery goes right over top if it. One could wire a switch I suppose so you don't have to remove the battery to shut it off, but if I'm shutting down, the batts are coming out anyway.. Because they are depleted. : )

I have one on the boom on the inside and one mounted to the fuse on the bottom below the back battery right at the front of the opening.

OK thanks again
What a royal pain getting this fuse on. I thought it would be a lot easier than the the SFR but was I wrong or what lol. Its just been a lot more fiddling and tbh actually most of it was prob my fault. I lost count how many times I installed the tail gear and took it out again lol but its all in now. Wiring is all done and secure and well away from any moving parts with no chance of moving or chaffing etc. I run a long Futaba heavy duty Y lead to the programming port of the BD unit which will have my slave attached and my OG so I will simply unplug one when I need to program the unit etc. Just got to instal the motor and ESC then she is good to go.

Credit to Ed there as it his originally. We must have the same taste as I love it too.
Also, this is prob the first time I have brought a 2nd hand machine that the previous owner uses the right amount of loctite. Normally always get a stripped screw because of too much loctite used or something stoopid like that but this purchase has restored my faith in buying 2nd hand as I normally always end up saying, "Never buy 2nd hand again" lol. There not many like this

Just done a dry fit with my packs. The Opti 6s 5000 Ultras do not fit either way. the 30c packs do and these are thin but soon as I put a velcro strap around them its a right pain to get that bottom pack in.
But can get them in and canopy on although I will need to redo my batt wires as the solder must have gone up the wires a bit and they can bend that much as the canopy won't fully close at the bottom. What are the dimensions of the packs you guys using? Think I going to need some smaller ones, 4400's maybe. Not even tried the 7s packs lol

Gens 4400 7s 65c fit perfectly.1mm on each side clearance
Dont strap your bats in place.... once the canopy is on those batteries are not going anywhere. I just use velcro tape on the bottom plate and Gerds O rings... no problem thus far. My battery cables run on the side..you will have to find the correct batteries position for your setup...play around with it a bit.
