RC Heli injury thread
Hey guys,
I spend most of my time on HF right here in BCP land. I just happened by this thread. A 17 year old girl got gashed up something awful by what people are suspecting a 500 while it was being flown above her in a public park. Idiots. Anyways...the thread has all the video footage and a link to dontate, she ended up with 17 head staples and will need microsurgery on the tendons in her arm. The worst part is that the pilot ran off without even saying anything. Bad day for us. If you can spare it, lets help this girl out. Im sure many of you are already aware of this, but for those who arent, take a look. Hope its ok i put this here, but its "home" after all. -B

Yeah I seen this before it made it to Helifreak... Pretty disgusting, I sent my last $100 to my name out to help her out.
Last I heard we all raised $7000 or so within six hours. LOL! |

There's always some jerk doing something stupid.
That being said, I've had several occassions when I've cut a flight short and left because kids wanted to get close to the heli. Helis draw kids in like a giant piece of candy and there's not a lot you can do about it. I usually pull the batt and let the kids (and sometimes Dad) look at it close up before I leave.

Thanks for posting that link. Made me sick to hear that chicken ran off
Anyway...I will do my bit And it will come out of my 500 fund. I too have packed up and moved to a different site when there are too many people/dogs around.
