Default Needing a New 600 Class Nitro

I have a TREX 600N Limited Edition that I bought back in 2009. Progressed slowly because of intimidation and lack of stability with a 450 heli.

My fleet is now the 600N, a Blade 300X, and a Synergy E7.

As much as I would like to go all electric, I like being able to recharge a 2S LiFe pack quickly and just needing fuel to keep the 600N going during the day. Still not an advanced pilot, but having fun and slowly progressing.

Having the E7, I would like to get an N5C TT but crash costs could hinder the learning process. I'm not too interested in getting another 600N though so I'm interested on your thoughts for getting an N5C versus a Thunder Tiger Titan or a TSA 600N.

What do you guys think?

I really like my TSA 600n but it is a bit heavier than my MinAir Fury 55's. I'm a sport flyer so it's not a big issue for me. MinAir is coming back but may be awhile. The N5C I've never even seen one so couldn't compare.

For a few hundred you can update your Trex 600 Nitro to flybarless. I did that mine with mine and it looks great and flies terrific.

I converted it to flybarless using the RJX head at the end of the 2012 flying season.

I have both a Tsa and a N5ctt.
Tsa : long flight times ( really big tank)
: cheaper crash costs compared to other 600s
: really heavy on full tank....flies like one too!
N5ctt : smaller tank....6min max
: lighter in air waaaayyyy more agile!!!
: better quality throughout build
: Synergy is owned by Botos ( he's really cool)
: more forum support
All that being said if you're new to nitro I'd recommend a Tsa600n Pro.

Great parts support from JR Americas.
You get JR quality at much better price these days.
Come by the JR tent at IRCHA and check mine out.

Won't be able to make IRCHA but I appreciate the feedback. I didn't know the VIBE 50X was still available!

For me the TSA 600N is super easy to fly. It is big and heavy, very strong in a crash, and has the overall size feel of a 700. Down side might be if you want hard 3D smack you might be limited. But overall it is a very good transition heli between a normal 600 size and 700.
