When a co. states an output of 120 amps continuous what exactly does this mean? What happens when you reach the 120 amp and the motor is asking for more?

Voltage sags further. The pack heats up more. And, generally, you'll be harder on it, making it more likely to puff, and have a shorter lifespan.

But remember that marketing drives these ratings perhaps as much as anything else

I'd keep a grain of salt handy.

And 30C from Turnigy =/= 30C from Pulse, for example.

Are you saying that all C ratings are the same for the most part?

I'm saying that some brands, particularly cheaper ones (Turnigy, etc) tend to inflate their ratings more.

I'd expect that a 30C Pulse/Glacier/Haiyin/etc would out-perform a 30C Turnigy Nanotech, or a similar, lower-cost/quality pack.
