My first heli, Belt cp, was already put together and was pretty much ready to fly. Didn't get to learn any of these tricks.

Thanks for your help guys!! More pics coming soon...

By the way, I downloaded the trex se v2 manual from the top of this section. The manual I recieved with this kit is exactly word for word with the exception of any "align" wording.

Hello Tig, I too have recently purchased a flasher heli. Great flying unit I had some tail troubles. It turned out to be the gear came loose from the shaft on the tail causing wag. Then the tail grip screw kept loosening add that with the slipping gear it was a fight for a while. Now it's all good, align 450se v2 and copterx parts are interchangeable. Have fun!

This is good news, guys! I bought this heli before seeing this thread. It should be here later this week. If this works out well, i will sell my blade, and buy another one of these! Can't beat the price from SN hobbies! Too perfect!

I also bought this Helli as a combo from a shop local to us around a month ago.. he did have it as complete with radio but opted out of that due to the radio that came with it..

Ive just now got hold of the DX7 tx with the AR700 rx & have started to reading up on the installation of everything....

I'm hoping to have it in the sky by next weekend (if all goes well) if so, then i will have a trex 450 & a pretty good radio all in for not much more than the trex 450 se price...

Here's hoping

Don't know if anyone else noticed this with the Flasher, but the stock tail belt is too stiff! It appears to be made made real rubber, and actually looks to be higher quality, but it is not flexible enough. When i assembled mine, the head didn't spin very freely at all even after a few times of heavy lubing! I replaced the belt with the OE Align belt... and it is MUCH better! It really free'd things up. I highly recommend this!

this happens to my copterx 450, the belt was real rubber and more stiff than aling, just swap the aling that i have on my box and works perfect.

tig, i have a question for you seeing as your the only other guy i know with a flasher 450 se.

when you go full pitch & then put forward elevator in on your radio. does your back servo arm catch under the plastic anti rotation bracket stopping it from going fully up..

im having this problem with mine & when it stops the front 2 are still coming down which is then pulling down swash plate instead of it staying where it is & tilting forward

when using back elevator at full pitch it seems fine...

thanks.

Hello Baron, mine gets very close but does not touch, at full pitch I'm at 11+, 11- I could slide a piece of paper between the servo arm an the anti rotation bar.

So I finally got around to putting my Flasher together.
First thing I do is rip open the box like a kid at christmas.... Then the smell hit me.
Smelt like Kid Rock and Willey Nelson had a party and invited all their friends over for bong hits and blew it directly in the box. I thought it was just in my head. Took it to the local indoor fun fly and someone else said the same thing so I know it wasnt just me. Must be why the main shaft was put on upside down...

Started putting it together.
Frame, re-applied threadlock on everything, good thing I did as most were untouched.

Tail, looks very similar to the Align, only thin I noticed is the middle hole on the tail fin where you would put a screw in to the boom does not exist (not sure if Align has one but my EXI does.)

Head, very tight...too tight. Upon inspection, one of the SF Mixing Arms felt like it has some bearing issues as it is notchy feeling will need to go through and replace bearings me thinks...
Came with a shorter flybar, put on the 220.
Still need to go through and replace all the screws with button head or socket screws as the quality of the phillips head are under par at best. Some even had some cracks in the head of the screw.

I noticed the same thing about the blet being stiff. Going to soak it in some silicone to see if it loosens it up at all.

Didnt expect alot out of a $130 heli but well worth the money IMO.
I personally would not recomend it for a FIRST heli but once you get comfortable with building and fixing, by all means. I already have most of the parts for spares anyway. Wanted this bird as a beater to take the big hits when trying new tricks. WIll probably set it up as similar to my current one as possible.

UPDATE: Replaced the bearings in the mixing arms and all is running smooth now.
