eagle nine
hey guys...i hope you is all making the most of the nice weather..
i am been in the garden most of the time. i bought a solo pro off a guy at heliclub for £50.00, with charger,3 lipos and case, its 3 months old. well all i can say is i love it its a wicked little heli, ive been flying it instead of the pro, getting loads of nose in pactice and i can now fly around in a circle too . must have crashed it 50 times since i bought it and no damage so far. its great for learning coordination and so cheap to repair (if it ever breaks) . the controller has a inside/outside function which is like an expo button which slows the heli down for indoor use. i was amazed at its ability to fly outside even in 5mph winds it can be flown, although it does get blown around easy. no im not on eagle nines pay roll . just had to tell someone as the wife just dont care . chris.

Hiya chris, You know....it seems like the wives could fake some interest the same way we men have to fake interest in some of THEIR crap. HAHA
So you have a little zipper now hey? I really enjoyed the Helimax CX flitting around the living room over the past winter, and have it ready to go, and in top shape for the upcoming deep winter days ahead. Its no good outdoors unless its dead calm, and that never happens. Sounds as if the solo does a little better outside. Enjoy! |

solo pro
hey guys...had a good time at heli club last night every one was up a local field flying planks and big helis just like last week, so about 5 of us had the place to our selves for the night.
and it was a free night . managed to snap a bit of plastic off the tail fin on the solo pro but it can still fly without it so all good...that must have been crash number 70 ish by then . hey lak, yer, i dont fake interest for the wife..she says look at my nails chris and im like "yer, great". you cant kid my misses mate. so i dont try . the little fella is ok in a small amount of breeze but anymore and you run out of swash travel and its off with the wind . hey B.T. yes, they are a good indoor trainer heli and well stable, a little drift but not like a c.p heli where once they go they just go faster if you dont correct, the solo pro will just drift slowly, but it has trims so all good. i learnt nose in within a few days with mine. 100% recomended and you can get spares for them--bonus . make sure you get the deal with the wall charger as the lipos kill the controller batterys if you charge from the controller. hi keith, ha ha no not a thing to do with superman or luther, its just so light, 47 grams i think it was, the blades dont spin fast so no damage. weve had some lovely still days down here and my garden is shaded from the wind quite well till you venture down where the gate is and then it all goes pear shape after that thats where i crash . the solo pro v2 is out now guys with a better swash/link setup and a new curcuit board . chris

Saw the little bugger in action, cool.
I like to buy one but I don't want the metal case in comes with, don't know if I want to spend $124.99 US + shipping for something so small. Lots of 450 parts for 150.00, you know. May be less expensive without the cariyng case. Do you know where I can take a look. thanks. |

hi sly...you can buy the solo without the case and charger x1 lipo for £55.00 plus postage here http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk/car...Pro-Red__f574/
or the solo pro 2 here http://www.buzzflyer.co.uk/Sub-Micro...opters/c-1-97/ for £80.00 plus postage. i have finally managed to break the solo....broke the balance bar in after a meeting with my real wood garden furniture. must be 90 - 100 crashes on it now, had some mates round at the weekend, we had a go at some druken flying, soo funny cost £4.00 to repair... chris

sharing a couple of videos of a Bell Hiller Modded Solo Pro with a true Blade grip "Feathering Shaft" that "teeters" along the blade axis. This makes the heli more stable at forward flights as the "pitch-up" effect (wind running against the advancing blade) is minimized allowing the pilot to increase the forward flight speed while maintaining altitude;
* With these mods, it pretty much zooms much faster than a modded MSR [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GOIqYQYGkI[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08Oj4NB2TDE[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAQ1mAKNCdI[/ame] |

Nice flying - nice weather - nice garden - just NICE
Where abouts are you on the planet and does the eqmod name have any astronomical connections? Keith

Sounds ever more mysterious
In the first vid right at the end a shadow approaches the heli and talks to it

Hi Chris,
I've been doing the same with an MSR even though I now have a 450 clone flying as well as the King 3. The MSR is really helping with learning the moves. Keep at it. Derek |

hi derek...yer +1 on that...it really does help and takes the "i dont want to crash my 450" nerves away.
im not afraid to take off and land nose in with the 450 now. you basically have the same helis as me, i too have a king 3 . chris.
