Default 7hv ordered!

Well I have made the phone call and my 7hv will be here tomorrow, it will be my first 700 size electric. Kinda excited and scared at the same time as its looks a very intimating heli.

My spec will be

7hv with compass blades and new 510kv motor
3 x align ds 610s
Futaba bls251
Hobbywing 120hv
Cc bec pro v3
220mah nimh buffer pack
Full size vbar 5.2 pro using governor
Blue Kidd Xtreme 104 tails
Turnigy 6s 30c 5000s

Anyone see any issues wih the above setup?
Will the stock 13t be sufficient?

I'm not sure if you can use a buffer pack with the CC BEC?? 13T should be fine as long as you dont need 2000+ rpm head speeds.

Welcome cupracing!

(I cannot answer the question about the buffer pack, either-CC might be able to tell you if you call them).

You can use a buffer pack wired in Parallel with a y lead. I use it on the 6hv and it works well although I have never had to use it thankfully!

Actually I'm concerned the hw 120hv won't be enough, I saw that the cc 160 got torched!

I dont think the 160's are getting torched because of over current conditions, there have been a lot going up recently and many in setups that should have been fine with a 120.

It's true, the 160's are going up big time. I hope Castle intervenes.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised with your setup as far as power goes. The Align motor runs cool and is actually a nice flying source of power. IMO, you will be fine with the HW using the Align motor. The Align motor was a nice addition to my setup last summer. I do love the new Compass motor, as it was specially designed for my style of flying. In fact, I think Compass made it just to shut me up! .

Kidding...have a ball with the new machine.

Take your time setting up the tail. Be sure to ream the pitch links to make sure they are free moving, and also test the rest of the mechanism with them disconnected to assure the hinge points are also free. Apply your magic with sanding, or tweaking to make them free. This all makes for wagless flight.

HW120 will see less current spikes when running VB Gov so that's in your favor.
Just don't get carried away with head speed until you check temps or log on some flights.
Oh yeah and enjoy your 7Hv!

Yeah sorry, i was referring to the above about krontroniks, as far as i'm aware they don't play with external govs.
