which hole on the head block do you use to attach the main shaft. Top or Bottom?

what do you do for the swash locker arms? they are too big to attach to the swash balls.

OK the bearings for the swash driver arms are flanged correct. They do not get a washer in between them. That washer in your pic by the driver arms probably goes at the end of the feathering shaft up against the outer thrust bearing. The large stepped washers while a bit different from my rjx head using rex pro feathering shaft, more than likely go between the damper and the bearing on main grip with step side towards bearing. You need to get some kbdd orange pro 450 dampers and a set of these.

what swash do you have? You can't use stock 400 swash with the swash driver arms as the larger ball that needs to be put on the inner swash for the swash arms wont allow the swash arms to be snaped on the stock swash as there is no clearance.

you cannot use the stock 400 swash with this set up. Other than the clearance problem when you try to snap the driver arms on the inner stock swash the stock swash is really not large enough outer diameter for proper geometry and will cause severe binding on the elevator ball link at the outer swash attachment ball. This has been documented so many times. You were asking what swash you needed just a short while back and were given advise by several members here.

went to the LHS and saw the 450x swash lock arms. do you think this will work in place. also would the 450x linkages work?

without some very very carefull measurments i could not tell you if the 450x swash driver arms will work on the hk/rjx clone head. As it looks in the photo they dont seem like they will be any where close to getting proper phasing (extremely important) with the rjx center hub . They are made for the blade center hub. Why not order a swash from cnc and get it over with. there are links to them here.

http://www.cnchelicopter.com/servlet/the-1413/CNC-450-SX-head/Detail

you will need to use the antirotation pin from your stock swash.
I have been told the 450x swash will work but I have not had one in hand so cannot confirm. Either way you are better off with the trex balls I linked to. Again the 450x swash drivers are designed for the e-flite center hub and look to be way off for use with the rjx clone center hub. Do not cut corners now or you may end up with a heli with unusable geometry.

Ps considering the blade 450x swash in full cnc is 30 bucks I would not take the chance anyway's. I would order a proven swash from cncheli. They have another one available also.

About 4/5 days depending on a few variables. Assemble it as shown in these pics on post #39.
https://www.helifreak.com/showthread...=366372&page=4

Scott also found another head at cnc heli that may work along with the one supplied in the thread link above. Hope this helps. I posted this earlier only because the head geometry looked correct and you can visibly see the raised center, which you MUST have.

here is a 50 minute long video on assembling the hk clone rjx head. Boring but a lot of good info. Especialy the hk supplied trust washers between damper and grip are LOUSY. Best get the align pro 450 trust washers or helidirect has them on there site under fbl stuff. Watch it it may help ya out.

That swash or the one I showed in that thread is fine. Yes get the align balls as they are one piece. No seperate screw thru a ball and better machined. You will also need some align 450 plastic ball links. You will use the short align balls on the swash and align matching plastic ball links to match.I use the stock servo to swash rods from the 400 and I also use the stock 400 plastic links and balls at the servo ends. but you can use the larger align at servo ends if you wish. I use the extreme production 450 turnbuckles for my swash to grip pitch links.
PS. Don't forget the kbdd orange pro 450 dampers!

Good luck with your build,
Scott S

No on the stock 450 dampers. You will regret it. You want the kbdd orange pro 450 dampers no ifs ands or buts! and different trust washers. Here is a link to both.
