Default Installing 700X head onto a 700N DFC

Hey, any chance I can put a 700X head onto a 700N DFC?? I can see Align releasing a new 700N without the dfc head in the coming months but wondering if possible I can use a 700X head for now...

dont see why you cant 700x use same main shaft than 700l dfc.to me it should be 100% compatible.

Just wondering why I haven't seen any of the team pilots do it...I think it would be nice to give it a try..Plan on eventually getting another 700X and making it a 3 blade and slaping the 2 blade head on a 700N

Responded to your PM, ultimately it should fit without issue given as the same DFC shaft is used. I also gave you a few options regarding parts and alternative as well.

I plan to, eventually. I don't really like DFC and the EFL head currently on my 700N is way too tall.

I was hoping to see a new 700n as well but don't think one is in the works for a while.

I'm hoping I can catch a deal on a 700n because that's the next heli I'm after. I wish I could wait for a redesign before getting one but it's just too far away. I'm going in on one for a winter project.

Here is the PM for those interested. Thanks

I suppose it would work no problem. It's the same height as the current DFC head.

These parts should get you started

Or you can just get this http://aligntrexstore.com/700FL-Flyb...XX_p_2832.html and http://aligntrexstore.com/700FL-Main...XX_p_2831.html

That has everything you need and it'll pretty much be the same thing, just a little taller. That's what I use on my 700N.

The 700N DFC really doesn't need a redesign imo. Especially now there is an alternative head that is reasonably low. I won't be switching though as I prefer the rigidity of DFC - I run DFC on all 12 of my machines.

Direct to swash would be nice to eliminate some slop, but yeah, it's not really needed. The 700N is a solid machine.

Yep, but it's expensive. Like I said the stock frame is good enough by far. If Align released a direct to swash frame I'd be all for it, but you can only get parts for that CHP from that one shop, and if they go under or stop making them, you're screwed...

Very nice on the nitro. I hope the recent trend on FBL heads, tilt skids, and belted tails continues. I like the way the low EFL heads fly and have been slowly changing all mine over even though setup is kind of a pain.

I have a 700N DFC , last version. narrow frames.

Do you use the standard main shaft?. I have a issue with the standard dfc main shaft.

I can't fit the screw with nut in the top hole of the new hub

In the top hole ... do you use the OEM two screws or use one screw with nut?

Thanks in advance
