Been using silicone spray on all heli tail belts for years it dosent attract dust and the belt being lubed reduces friction so it runs quiet+ smoother and lasts longer for sure. This is the stuff here. http://www.amazon.com/CRC-Grade-Sili.../dp/B00192D0TQ

I got some, seems wet. Isn't the lube meant to be dry? Maybe it's wet just as a delivery system and dries into the dry silicone lube? If so I have no idea why my garden table is still wet with the stuff after a day xD

I have watched several Sab tips and tricks videos by Bert Kammerer, one of those videos was on belts only and he never mentions anything about belt lube. His main concerns are tension and tracking.

Most the sponsored 3D smack competition pilots never run their belts long compared to us "normal" (non sponsored nobody) guys pushing hundreds of flights out of theirs. I finally replaced the one out of my Gob 7 when I installed my own custom cut frame here last month, I think I had that one in there for roughly 3 years and I lost count when it went past 600?.. Not to mention a rash of crashes. It had finally stretched to the point I didn't have tensioner lip showing above the flat of the frame. The belt still "looks" new, and I kept it for emergencies just in case. The one before that lost it when it sheared off a looong time ago in a crash after roughly 200+. And I am still running to date the same 3 to 4 year old stock main belt using my KDE gen 3 and it is holding fine. My 800 is still running its original SHS tail belt and it is also going into its fourth season.

I use White Lightning clean ride wax lube on all my helis and the stuff works miracles.

That's what I'm using on my 700 and 500s, main gear and belts. How often do you re-lube? 50 flights?

Kind of 'as needed', due to how hard the heli gets ran. When I am practicing slow easy 3d on the sticks, low mechanical hit flying it lasts for a long time. Move my HS up to 2300 and smack it hard and I tend to lube more often.
