Hello,
I'm thinking about replacing my CC Talon 120HV in my Goblin 570 12S but have never used an external BEC. Can anyone give me some guidance on what to do/not do for wiring and BEC brands preferred? I'm looking at the 100 HV unit from HK

100a v3 hv reports
Take a look at the HobbyWing 100HV
http://www.falconsekido.com/products...num-100a-hv-v3 AND get the Programming box: http://www.falconsekido.com/products/lcd-program ........... As far as a BEC goes, look at the WesterRobotics Hercules Super BEC (does 12S).... The BEC takes power from your main flight pack and steps down the voltage sending it to your FBL for powering the servos and FBL... The red/black wires are usually soldered directly into the bullet connectors of the ESC ..... Red to red and black to black...... For example: I soldered the red wire of the BEC and the ESC together into the same bullet and the same for black/black... OR: use that same concept and add a EC2 connector to the BEC wires and add a separate wire (same AWG) soldering it into the bullets, so you can unplug it if need be..... WesterRobotics are a wee bit more expensive and are overall the best as A LOT of guys use them in their high end heli's due to their quality.. http://www.amain.com/rc-helicopters/...FcwXHwodZE4KqQ Castle BEC Pro is also a well known BEC that performs solid http://www.amain.com/rc-cars/castle-...FdSQHwodf80Gsg That way ya plug in your main flight pack and you get power to the whole system....

been using the 100 HV for a while now on a Goblin 630 actually running 660 blades , I'm probably at the limit for this ESC but it's been running great and cool with the fan , no shut downs .

I'm using the 100 LV BEC with Promodeler servos. My telemetry says that it's only moving about .1V throughout the entire flight. I think that'll work.

Is anyone flying 3d on a goblin700 with a 100A hv? Something tells me this just isn't enough with an xnova 4530 that can pull 150a continuous.
If it will work though it would save a ton over the 160a version

I'm using HW-100A-v3-HV on Goblin 570, 12S setup.
31 flights at this moment. Very happy. Governor (Gov. store mode) work perfectly, ESC temperature - "a little warm" (38-40 grad. C) after flight, using w/o fan. |

Does the fan fit in the 570? Doesn't look like there would be room.

Or, you have mount "upside down" to plastic frame, in this case it will fit with fan. |
