Default Servo decisions for cyclic on 450

I'm looking for a digital metal gear servos for the cyclic on my 450 I can't decide between hi-tech or savox. I'm currently looking at the savox sh-0255 <----- would this be a good choice?

I just spent a lot of effort researching cyclic servos for a 450 and kept coming up with the same finding: The TGY-306G Ultra Fast / High Torque MG Digital Alloy Cased Servo seems to be the best value (performance vs price). They also offer a High Voltage version.

I have researched also and came up with the same conclusion. THey are the same specs as the KST's. However, my budget is really really low and went with cheap cheap cheap Emax ES08 metal gears. I may regret the choice in the future but for now they work for me. I also found that Emax has copied the KST/Turnigy versions as well. The specs look similiar and the price is similiar. $25/servo.

Def go w kst 215 or the 315s but if you do then make sure you've got a good bec cuz they're power hungry and will def brown out thr vbar.

Though the ds430m are pretty good too but cost just as much if not more than the ksts but they wont brown out your esc. Atleast they haven't browned out my stock align esc.

Yes kst 215 are, the 315s or the daviga 313 (same servo) are not. Check them out at alofthobbies.com

Ds430m are not hv.

I'm running the 315's on my 450, great servos, highly recommend them. Been very reliable, no slop in the gear train.

Just found some ds430m on ebay for 15 bucks! That's almost half the price of full retail. I bought one for a spare.

Default Made a mistake...?

Hi Guys,

today i've ordered three KST DS215MG servos for my Tarot 450 pro, because my Turnigy servos are too slow (and one of them dead in a crash on this week... ) But i think i've made a mistake: theese are HV servos.
http://www.kstsz.com/threestyle/ksts.../13531946.html

And my heli is running with 3S... What should i do? Cancel the order, or it is possible to connect the servos direcly to the BeastX? Thanks for the answers!

What tail servo do you have?
Do you have a BEC or is the voltage in you ESC adjustable?

The kst215s work from 6.0 to 7.4 volts. If your tail servo works somewhere in that range you should be ok.

It's fine to run these on a 3s setup. You can run these on the beastx.

I have these servos running with my YEP40A ESC which BEC delivers 5.5V to these servos, no problem at all. If you are worry then you need to order KST115MG instead.

Thank you for the answers. I've cancelled the order before reading them . I' m sure that it would not have been a problem, but saw my money refunded, i will sleep more calmly... I will order the KST ds115mg.

CrashNBurn: my tail servo is an Align DS525M.

I'm running the KST 115 servos on my Trex 450 Pro. Mechanically, they're the same servo as the 215, just not HV. You'll be happy with these. May I suggest getting a set of breakaway servo arms. I'm running the original motor and ESC and one Sat receiver and have had no brown out issues.

I'm running the 215's on my Oxy 3 and Goblin 380 at 6v. Very nice servos. The oxy 3 is just using the weak edge 50 lite internal bec and the goblin a CC10 bec no issues.

I had Align 430M's on the 380 before this and they would get a little hot flying around. These are nice and cool when I come down.
