I am setting up a friends heli. We are done with it and when I went to spool it up it spins out of control. The gyro direction and the rudder stick positon are right I checked them multiple times. It won't fly it just spins out of control.The more throttle you give it the faster it spins. The gyro seems to be working properly and the tail servo is working. Anbody have any clue why this is doing this? He is using a 401 and a 9650 tail servo. Thanks Tyler

Have you checked the tail rotor rotation? If the belt was turned the wrong way within the tailboom, it will turn the tail rotor in the opposite direction and you will never develop enough thrust to offset the main rotor torque. The Heli will just sit an spin, no matter how much rudder you give it.

I had the same problem as you and it took me two days of checking servos and gyros before I realized the rotation was wrong. The tail rotor should turn counter clockwise when looking on to the hub, or into the down wash of the main rotor.
