Default 1st pic's of Trex in the air

My daughter took these pictures for me yesterday. They are the first pictures I have of my Trex in flight. Kind of cool to sit back and look at them while not actually having to focus entirely on the task (not crashing) at hand. Also, this was my first time flying without training gear so I was a bit nervous.

What blue servo rod are you using? I just changed the metal one out to the carbon kit and removed the two supports along the boom.

Thanks

Nice pics,

it may be an optical illusion, but I think your landing gears are backwards.

They're backwards compared to most anyways, and they look funny.

Yeah, I thought my eyes were gettin bad when I saw the landing gear. They do appear to be backwards.
Looks like you covered the carbon rod with blue wire mesh? (refering to tail control rod)

Yes, I put a piece of blue braided line over the carbon tube.

I thought the landing gear looked a little funny but when I had them the other way the tail was really low, in fact touching the ground.

Right now they are both angled back. Should they both be angled forward or should they both be angled in toward each other. In other words, as they are now but just turn the back one to face forward?

Thanks Todd.

In all of the pictures I see with the gear angled forward, the heli's tail touches the ground. The way I have them now it sits more level and keeps the tail up.

Ive seen the landing gear wear they have had the front skid facing forward an the back skid facing backward looks pretty cool, but I go with the both skids forward look, why I dont know I guess I'm a follower

I have them gear facing forward. The Gorilla Gear is too soft to keep the tail off the ground (all the weight is on the rear). I put a rubber band on the back of the skids to pinch the rear gear a little, that keeps the tail off the ground.

I have a long GG on the back facing backwards and the short GG facing forwards on the front.
This way the heli stays about the same orientation with or without the battery bieng in place. And keeps the tail rotor out of the grass alot better.
When sitting on the shelf at home I have a piece of string between the 2 skids at the back to keep the tail from sagging under its own weight.

OK, I turned them back around. Bending them in a little helps pick the tail up.
