Default Sullivan Starter + Skyfox Mechanics Problem.

Hi

I have one of the Red Vario 80mm extensions fitted to the shaft on my Sullivan starter to `plug` on to the cooling fan hub of my Sonic from underneath the helicopter.

It is however slipping on the shaft and causing problems cranking the engine over.
All that is gripping the shaft is the two hex bolts and tightening them to clamp things tightly.

I can`t get these tight enough to be of any use.

The starters shaft is threaded - is there anything else I can do to make every work correctly with out any slippage?
Am I using the right thing to do the job?

Malcolm

Hi Chris
Job done!

Bought a new Hobbyco 180 starter with a pre-drilled hole in the main shaft and drilled and bolted through the Vario extension.
This now grips fine.
The Sullivan with a new Sullivan wand is now being used for my other helis.
