Default Xnova 4030 470kv logo 600

Just aquired this motor and a jive 120 esc for a new logo 600. I've never flown a logo but is this size motor required to hold 2200 head speed?

I've got a HW 100 v3 and a quantum 4135 560kv out of an old goblin 570 build I could use instead and save about 200g lol. Seems this motor is over kill to me. I didn't even run a motor this big in my whiplash 700 at 2200 rpm.

Thanks guys

Quantum 4135 has 25mm bolt spacing so wont work with the logo motor mount or counter bearing. It is a pretty potent motor though, ran one in my Trex 600esp @ 2300rpm and 15* of pitch. Just throw the xnova in it and enjoy.

Pyro 700 is a 4030 motor and is/was kit combo choice.
That or a slightly larger Scorpion 4035.
It'll be a good motor for you assuming you have the bolt pattern to match your mount.

L6003D = 25x3mm
L600Sx = 30x4mm

Pyro 700 is actually a 3930 stator. But you are correct that it was offered as part of the combo and it's a great motor for the Logo 600. Great power and light weight.

I'm running the 4030-470 motor and Jive 120 in my 600SX. I run 2200 hs and 12 dgrees pitch. I don't feel it's overpowered at all. In fact I think it could use a bit more!
You will be happy with performance.
