Default Tail upgrade

Let's face it, the Logos need no up grades but this not only looks great, it is so serviceable . I was going to do a video but the one on buddyrc is nice.

No need to upgrade the on the logo. Even the new 700 is plastic now to keep the wheight down. My flying buddy upgraded his 550sx v2 tail to a speedix. It made it handle worst with the added wheight.

..,potentially throws off CG, increases required elevator mast moment for equal performance as with stock tail, increases weight, kills your tail geometry..

OP's pic appears to show full left tail deflection, which looks like not even 10° to me.

I got a 550sx used with the speedix box but stock grips and slider. No problems with geometry, it can achieve ~28 degrees left and 45+ degrees right. I don't know about those metal grips though, it does look like less.

I wouldn't mind going back to stock except that to buy the bare minimum of tail parts new is like $85. Maybe I can find one used.

c'mon, you cant tell by that pic. you cant see the shaft..i have one..there is no prob with deflection..if you don't like it..don't use it. it works fine for me..i put a complete trex 600 tail grip assembly on there..that worked fine too..bolted right up.

are the arms parallel with the chord of the tail blade, or angled like the Mikado grips? If parallel, you give up optimum geometry. That was the problem with the quick UK tail grips.
