Are these engines anodized (Crank Case/Cylinder/Head)? Would you guys consider custom color anodizing for a fee?

If you would do a one-off, I'd like to see THE WHOLE THING ORANGE. I'd also consider Black. I think coloring only the head would be a waste since it's shrouded and you can't see it.

Default KME

Hi KME owners, I have a KME in my 600 and was wondering, do I treat it exactly the same as a hyper 50 as far as tuning goes, for example - start at 1 1/2 turns out and lean to 1 3/4 if it suits, I had no manual with the motor.

Yes I would start the Needle at 1 1/2 turns out no less it need to be a little more open that the Hyper 50 because it is a bigger motor.

1 1/2 to 1 1/4 is what the optimum running range for the fuel delivery depending on where you live. you can go as rich as 1 3/4 but no more.

Run your engine temp at 180 deg to 195

Break in the motor as to specs at the web site.
http://www.kmeengines.com/Support.php

Hope this helps
We hope to get the Manual up on the site soon

Default Stalling engine

Hi Jerome, I've been having trouble lately with the transition from idle to half throttle. It idles fine and it start accelerating fine then it stalls, I either close the idle needle all the way and try again, or open the needle a hair if it was close all the way. Do you, or anybody, know what may be going on. I was thinking of changing the carb and see what happens?

I changed the glow plug and that seems to make it better, it does not stall now, but it hesitate when going from fast idle to half throttle. Could a hotter glow plug help?

Florida sea level, 45 F cold, fuel is, Byron 30% rotor rage (good fuel). Double O

you might have some small particles of dust or sand in the Carb. Try pulling the needles and blow some gas through them. It might be easier if you take the carb off but if your careful you can do it when on the heli...

All of the dealers are at $349-$359, unless the sites have not been updated yet.

Yes Its true. I have no Idea how you guys found out so Quickly we just released this info to our dealers.
We now make our own CNC billet Carb for the Diamond .60 and we don't have to buy a carb from OS. So we are turing on the savings on to our customers.

We set up all of our engines this way should work fine. Try backing of the sensor a little with a washer, but it might be to close or to far.
