Default Any support available on Parts or are the Raves dead ?

Hi together

Last Weekend i had a ESC Shutdown on my Ballistic 635 and crashed it flat on the landing gear.
I thought no problem, i just order the parts and its flying again.

I am from Germany and the funny thing is there is no shop available who has parts in stock for the Rave Ballistic.

Is the heli dead and discontinued ?
Wrote a mail to curtisyoungbloodhobbies to find out but no answer yet.
Do you guys know a shop where you can order parts or can i kick it in the dustbin and look for something new ?

i am kind of sad right now because its a very good heli which was very reliable so no parts ordering the last 12 Months.
Now that i need parts i cant find any shops with the right parts.
Is it possible to order a complete kit anywhere ?
Maybe i order a complete kit if the price is reasonable.

Right now i am thinking about a alternative for the ballistic if i dont find any shop.

Where do you order your parts right now in the states ?

Thanks in advance
Thorsten

What about the link ?
Check the shops and tell me which parts you can see, if you can see anything...

That first link takes you to various shops, however I just purchase from the source above, which is also included in that list.

Not sure what you are seeing but AMain hobbies alone has multiple pages of parts.

I would suggest emailing Curtis' shop with the items you are looking for as the website does not list all the parts.

I just built a Rave Ballistic 635. I bought a used 700 and converted it to a 635. I bought all the parts I needed from Curtis Youngblood Hobbies. I bought quite a few parts. Also some parts for stock.

Support in Europe is just a joke right now. I have a 635 new in the box, a 700 I fly, and several ballistic conversion kits to use as spares. I don't fly the Ballistic much these days so have thought about selling them all, but they're worthless here now due to the lack of spares support.

I'm not kidding about the value. There have been a few up ballistics up for sale recently and the only one that has sold, sold for less than a trex450L airframe would.

I guess just fly it and enjoy it then.

We can still buy parts in the U.S.

Exactly what I'm doing. I sold my Rave 450's but I've kept the Ballistic and have 3 complete helis in parts to use to keep it in the air

Yeah I saw the email from amain. I've had only silly low offers for my Raves so I'm just going to fly my Ballistic until I run out of parts and then bin whats left. Sadly I think CY products really are going to disappear soon.

From what I can make out Curtis has moved on to AP services and isn't bothered about helis anymore. It's a vicious circle. The less we hear about Raves, the less people buy, the less demand, the less stocks in retailers. Then nobody can buy and they disappear.

The only way back is if Curtis reappears with a new or updated model. But from what we're piecing together that's not likely

Indeed it seems that Amain is closing out CY products.
Too bad spcecialy because I like how easy is working on the Rave.
Just remove two screws and the fan shroud can be taken off the frames.

Can not be easier than that!!

I thoroughly enjoy my Rave 90. I've gotten parts but had to shop around. It is a reliable, rugged and simple machine.

It should be more popular but fashion is a curious thing.

If Curtis could do a few minor tweaks for a V2, then I think it could do well given that there aren't a lot of good nitro machines to choose from.

I have the Ballistic 700 and a 635. Great Helicopters !! Simple and robust design. Would really hate to see them go. I was just flying my new 635 and it flies so... Good.
