Yes it was second hand , might try unplugging replugging to rx, with power to both ever thing works . Even with power to rx only everything works. But not with power to demon . It was intermittent. I understand that only the 3 cable plugs would carry power to the rx , so issue would be with them. Do you think ther is any harm in having power divided between demon and rx . Also if there was a loom problem wouldn't that affect the operation of the demon . In my case it does not all functions work ?

well DemonJoe who is the official BD gut says that if you have two power plugs, they should both go to the Demon. If you have one plug it should go to the Demon. This is because the servos draw most of the current.

However, I split the power from my battery and put one to the RX and one to the Demon. Like I said before, it should work with all power going to the Demon. If that doesn't work, you have a damaged loom or there is some other wiring problem. Since you heli is used, you don't know the history and/or if you have crashed, it may have become damaged.

You have to choose for your self how you connect things but it still sounds to me like your loom is marginal.

This has been discussed over on other forums as well, and the answer is: All power leads should go to the unit who distribute the power to the servos (FBL unit). I'll admit this is something I don't have much knowledge about, but when educated people tells me this is the way to do it, I'll listen to them. Make a google search on "ground loop" and you get an idea of the reasons behind this.

There is one version where you do not run power directly to the unit: If you run the cable loom and the throttle/BEC cable is on the Rx, then all power to the Rx, also the slave.
Basic statement stays the same: DO NOT split up the power cables on Rx and fbl system. This is a general thing and has nothing to do with BD in particular!
