I'm using 65mm upper and 40mm lower rods with this main shaft.

BTW, weather and free time didn't match so far, so I'm aiming for a 700/105 test on sunday.

Johnny, are you using the longer mainshaft that mahbouni is using?

mahbouni, what length blades are you running on your 690 with the longer mainshaft?

Thanks,
KevinB

No. Look up my other thread for the flight video, unmodified 690.

Sorry for the confusion, it was just an idea. I don't have a 690SX yet. Waiting for the V2 to come back in stock. Hopefully soon.

I do have the 211mm main shaft in my 600SX and I tried the new Rotortech 670mm mains and 106mm tails. Photos below. They overhang the tail rotor with enough clearance to do mild 3D but I reckon I can make it tail strike if I fly hard. So I went back to the 640mm blades I had. Theres's no overhang and I can fly it as hard as I want.

Actually I want to try these 670mm blades on my 690SX when I get it. I have loads of 6s 3800 & 4000 packs for my 600SX but no 6s 5000's. I'm thinking the 670mm blades will be easier on my packs and save me having to buy 6s 5000's just for this heli. My Forza and 700XX are on 14s.
