Default Nano board repair

Hi:
Been into helis for a while but now only have a nano. I am having the same binding issues as most everyone with the flashing LED and no binding.
Would someone be kind enough to put up a sticky with all the steps in board repair. I saw a video on removing the conformal coating but can't find it now. I don't know where all the information on this is but it would be nice to have it in one spot as it is a big issue with this heli.
I do have some skills to attempt this but would like some more guidance as to which chip is the culprit and the steps involved in the repair.
Sending the board to someone to repair is not an option for me as I now live in Ecuador and I have worked on circuit boards before but want to be sure before I attempt it.
I am planning on ordering a couple of new boards and having someone mule them down for me but do want to attempt the repair.
Thanks

You have to remove the glue at the lower right chip at the front side carefully with a knife
(cut it and pry off) and then resolder the solder joints.

Afterwards I have sealed the chip with two-component glue.

I did it at two boards and they still work fine.

Thanks. So the larger chip on the side opposite the servo connections?
I have looked closely at most of the soldering on the board and I would not have passed one of my students in the past if they soldered that badly.

Yes, that's the correct, it's a little bit tricky to remove the glue without damaging the
copper traces, but under a microscope it works.

Yes well a microscope would be wonderful especially with these old eyes but unfortunately I don't have one. Hmmmmm maybe I can rig something up with my digital camera.
Anyone else have any more how to info? Videos, pictures, explanations?

My board had the intermittent issue of losing signal. I was able to use a small heat gun to heat up the glue around the board and pick it off with an exacto blade. I then heated the chip with the same heat gun and the solder was able to reflow enough that I no longer have the issue. Just be careful heating it up so that you don't melt any of the actual components. If you see smoke you have gone too far.

Did your repair last or did the problem reappear?

Who could guess?

What temp will kill the component?

I use around 180deg C with the heatgun to remove the coating.
I've only managed to reflow successfully with soldering iron set around 280 Deg C, flux and solder. The joints havnt broken sinve
