Default Losing power on my 500 ESP FBL

Hey fellas just came back fromt he field and was pretty dissapointed with my 500, it seems all of a sudden now its losing power when i push it too hard. Im using sky lipos 3300 40c and TP 2650 30 c, using align 70 amp ESC have and the 500 mx motor. if i try to do really tight tick tocks the head speed totally drops then it catches back up using throtle curve at 100% on idle 2 95% on idle 1 with a dx7. Had a couple minor crashes on this heli but the proble jsut started happening today.

What do you fellas think i should look into my first suspect was the batteries but the sky lipos are pretty nw only about 11 flights very low IR balance great. second suspect is the ESC pretty new about 30 flights on it but i did have a one minor crash with it, comes down pretty cool after flying it. Lastly is the motor has around 80 flights but sounds great no play on the pinion always comes down cool.

This heli is flybarless using the 3gx system with a 500 pro head, radix flybarless blades, just in case that matters for diagnosing. Thanks in advance fellas

Reprogramed the align esc everything appears to be working correctly , so I charged up a couple batteries and went back to the field. Everything started great until I went for an inverted piro punch out and the headspeed just bottomed out i could hear it and totally feel it, as soon as i stopped the piro the heli picked up power again and was fine. After that i flew around did some punchouts no problem so i decided to do some elevator tick tocks again after a few the power cut out again and a couple seconds later came back on.

Pretty much ruled out the batteries and the motor at this point everything points to the ESC with my limited experience. I have a 60 amp align ESC sitting around I will put that in and test it out if that works well then i will confirm the ESC as the culprit. If it ends up being the ESC which one would you guys recommend? I was thinking of going with the CC ice 75 because i already have a castle link for my 600and like taking a look at the graphs.

Yes, try out your other ESC. The CC75 is a great ESC, graphs will tell you whats going on with your setup.

I have the same problem with mine. But it does'nt matter how hard i push it, sometimes the rpm drops to maybe 50%, and then the power comes back within a second or so... I have an align 60amp esc and an "L" motor..

Resolder all your bullets. Especially ones that were pre-soldered, if any.
There's going to be 5 major high current connections on an ESC of any brand.

Thanks for the tip will resolder the 70 amp ESC I pulled out of the 500 maybe I can salvage it.
Verified that was the problem had the extra Esc installed and it flew perfectly no loss of power whatsoever.

I read that the 60 amp may not be enough for the 500mx motor , judging by my flights today it barely got warm though and I flew pretty aggressively. what do you guys think you think the 60 amp Esc will be good enough? thanks again

I think it would hold well. Any amps above 60 would be no more than pikes so its within ESCs operational limits. Check the temperature after each flight, if it ends the flight too hot its time to upgrade.

I suspect the 70 is the same ESC as the 60 with a new label on it

If you can afford it ged rid of the the Align ESC and install the CC ESC and run it in governor mode. Remember to buy a bigger pinion at the same time. The problem is probably not the Align ESC but get rid of it anyway. Maybe it can be used in a plank

I would check how much cyclic throw your getting. Too much throw and your bogging it also causing the head speed to drop.
