G20 muffler question
So those of you that are flying the G20 with the Century Torpedo muffler ,I would like to know who has tried it with the back pressure washer assembly in and out ?What was the difference in power ,noise and engine run quality ?
Thanks Dennis Still -30deg out |

I have ran it both ways. I found the sound to be lower and more pleasant with the plug and did not notice any real difference in power. So now I sue the plug.

Ngin you are just talking about the thread in adapter on the back of the muffler correct? There is also the screw with the washer that you can use to adjust back pressure, that is what I am wondering if people have tested on the 20cc engine. Thanks for the input.

Just use the reducer...I used both, and when starting the engine would back fire before cranking..I decided not to use the washer if it was causing that problem...The reducer from 16mm to 11 mm is all i would use..
This was on camper fuel..Gas was not tested with this combo, but I'm sure it would be to much back pressure...You can use the washer without the reducer if you care to try that... |

Ditto, I would suggest only using the reducer.

Open it up
If you are running 6.4 gear ratio, and and a head spead obove 1950. You will want to open the pipe up for more power.
Sound seems to get better at 2050. If you are just sport flying at 1800, I dont think you will feel any difference. |
