considering a Gaui 425 to 550 for my next build?
Hey Freaks,
I am looking for some opinions about my next project. I just finished up an HK500 build and the heli flies wonderful. I like the larger heli much better so I am thinking about selling my smaller trex450 and starting a new build on a 550. I was thinking trex because that is what I am familiar with but after reading the forums a bit I see there are some loyal fans of gaui. They look like they are well made so I'd liek to give one a go. I was looking at the gaui425 due to its lower price tag and the inexpensive way to make it a 550. What do you guys think? Would it be ok to buy the 425 gaui and upgrade it to a 550 or should I just buy the H550 to start with? thanks in advance for your opinions. Paul |

Cost wise, it is cheaper to buy the 425 basic kit and stretch it for either 500mm, or 550mm blades.
I like them so well, I have one of each, although the medium boomed one for 500mm blades is on a HeadHunter frame and is not quite finished yet. Love my 425 and 550 though.

My Fav, is a 550mm boom, using 500mm carbon blades.

I prefer the 550mm blades, cause I do wide sports flying (more the scale-type of flying) to relax after work ... or during work
