Default T14SG Not Retaining Switch Settings - Bug?

Hi Folks,

Before I report this to Futaba, could a few of you take a quick look at my video to verify that I'm not doing something wrong?

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TFexFedBYA[/ame]

Basically, I've created a program mix that I want to be applied whenever a switch is in either of the 2 forward positions, but try as I may, I can't get this to stick. In the video I even do it twice, but it always goes back to OFF-OFF-ON instead of OFF-ON-ON.

Bug?

Did you upgrade to version 1.4?

Hi Colin,
Just to be sure, after you selected Off On On did you press RTN before exiting the On Off screen?

Doug.

Just checked - it came with v1.4 already loaded.

Hi Doug,

Yes - you basically have to to get past the "are you sure" prompt.

I just can't get it to stick no matter what I do - I've had to program around it.

I've also noticed another similar issue where sometimes I can change the setting for one position and before my very eyes, the setting for an adjacent position changes.

I'm guessing bug.

That or something is wrong with your radio. If I was you, I'll try reloading 1.4 to see if is something with the software.

Doug.

Thanks Doug - I think I'll send Futaba a note and see what they have to say.

You can't have all three positions on or off, or both the same on a 2 position switch. If you try to set them all the same it will automatically change one of the other positions. Could this be what you are seeing?

Later;

Thanks DW,

That might explain the 2nd issue I'm seeing - I'll experiment with that when I get home.

It's really the first issue I'd like to solve though.

Update:

Just received the following from Futaba Support ...

"Thank you for your recent e-mail.

When you go back in to check SE. Do not click on SE again just go to the ON/OFF part. If you click on SE again it thinks you are setting up a new switch and reverts back to the default setting."

I haven't tested it yet, but I expect that that'll explain it.
