I would hope they'd all be carrying Squares or something similar so they could take credit cards. My wife uses a Square on her iPhone for her craft business and it's great. There's no monthly account fee, just a fee on each transaction.

I believe MTA had a card processing gizmo in their tent last year. However, if you present cash, they've got a bit more "wiggle" room because they're not paying transaction and commission fees.

There are usually a few people with used helis for sale. Just walk the pits and look for the "For Sale" signs...

Never been to a fun fly... Or flown with a club of any kind. Do I need to register to be an observer? don't want to embarrass myself with my lack of skills but I would love to see some great flying by others for an afternoon. I could renew my AMA if I need it to get on the field.

There is no charge to observe, but please consider registering and flying. There will likely be others at the event at your same skill level. Not only will you have something in common and build friendships, but you'll probably be able to learn from each other. Also, the more novices who fly, the more will be encouraged to fly. I and the rest of the HF Support staff would hate to see any skill level left out of the party.

Thanks for the encouragement Bum! I'll register and bring a couple birds, maybe I'll get a few pointers from somebody. That would be worth it alone. Excited to see what a Fun Fly is all about!

Boy did you pick an event to have some fun, be overwhelmed, get exhausted and eat way too much (Not necessarily in that order!).

All skill levels are welcome and nobody is going to laugh at you for your hardcore hovering or mad 1.5D sport throwdown skillz. (mad 1.5D sport throwdown skillz is Copyright 2012 Skiddz. heheheh)

I bet if you talk nice to one Tony Whiteside, he'll strap up the buddy box and the mCPX for ya too!

An mental image I can no longer get out of my mind (no matter how much I try).

I am really looking forward to this event!
(and, of course, just itching to get some Gold Bond...)

Just a note... If you are concerned about flying with the big boys on the main flight line off the runway, this field has a separate area that they use for helicopters. Its great for beginners. I flew most of my flights in that area and it was great.

If you want a thrill, try hovering on the main flight with guys doing hurricanes with a 700e next to you. Whooo Hooo!!!

Cant wait to make it this year.

There is room for 5 flight stations on that other side of the field with 4 on the main flight line so plenty of place to fly.

Looking forward to seeing you guys again!!!!
