Default 20 flights in and still have some questions......

Hello , this is my first post here. First and foremost i want to say a huge thanks to all you guys who jumped on this heli like i did but went the extra mile and posted reviews and videos and mods.

Ive been using Realflight G5 for practicing mild 3d. The Model i fly with mostly is the Raptor 90. I'd like to know what some things are that i can do with the stock SR to make it behave a little more like that Raptor does in the sim.

Ive flown about 5 battery packs outside in 5-10 mph winds but im kinda nervous to try doing any kind of 3d cause i dont know how the SR will like being flipped over and thrown into full negative pitch. Can i hover inverted? Im assuming that my throttle trim tab needs to be all the way up and have the heli set to dual rates in idle up mode. But what about the throttle curve adjustment knob?

I have no idea what that knob does but mines set to full counter clockwise. I thought i saw that another forum poster (9sec240) moved his swash down a bit for more negative pitch?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Nothing you can do will make your SR fly like the Rappy 90 in Realflight.

Stock TX, the throttle trim should be centered or just low enough so that the ESC will arm.

Check your helicopter for zero pitch at mid stick in throttle hold before attempting any sort of 3D. I had to raise my swash to get mine zeroed and an equal amount of positive and negative pitch. For maximum RPM, the left knob should be all the way clockwise. Remove the flybar weights. A Blade 400 stock 10T pinion will help speed up cyclic and collective response. Make any attempts at 3D at a fairly high altitude the first time. The SR is really not made for 3D so it will take time to flip and roll.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Awesome, THANKS for the tips. Yea 9sec, when i saw your video doing 3d at the golf dome i got really excited about this heli.

Cant wait to try taking those weights off the flybar and seeing how it flys with the throttle curve adjustment all the way up. I dont think im ready for moving up to the 10T gear. I think you mentioned in the other thread that that was not a mod for BEGINNERS.

I cant believe i havn't crashed this thing yet!
