When Jan took the heli out of his car there were some elastics to keep the gear retracted. This was for sure a temporary "quick and dirty" mechanism ^^

We were told that in the final version there will be a servo which movement will first unlock gears from arms and then retract them.

Yes it is and thanks also Sebastien for the clarification.

I sure hope we will see more pictures as the summer progresses and the events where Jan will show up add up.

I didn't think I wanted the retracts, but I have changed my mind...3 blades and retracts for me.

Apparently, the Kosmik is mounted only to the motor wires.

Me too, but I'm still waiting to see the final product. I don't expect to be disappointed. So far I'm blown away!

So the TDR 2 is a 3-blade?

I thought just the TDS was 3-blade.

Tail dragger retract system....totally awesome.

Is the retract system interchangable with the fixed gear system?

The TDR 2 also has a full fuselage canopy?(like a Goblin)

I'm glad I got on the lists for both....am salivating like one of Pavlov's dogs.....

Retracts indeed....would be so cool to lift off into a low hover, and retract the gear, and then "move out".
Wonder if the gear retracts in a "stagger mode"....like a British Spifire of WW2 fame?

Looks "futuresque"...wow

Actually the Kosmik is mounted by two points on a black (plastic ?) part which allows it to move vertically to make the battery change operation easier (I guess). The ESC can then freely move arround an horizontal axis.

Seriously? I'm sure it would disipate heat well floating around like that, but that just seems wrong to me. It also seems like it would put a lot more stress on the Kosmik's tabs than they were designed for.

Is there a different tail ratio for the 3 blade vs. the 2 blade heli?

I would think that the 3 blade heli should have a higher tail ratio for anyone who wanted to play with 3D on this heli.

Hmmmmm, I might have to do the same.
It probably won't be able to hang on my current vertical heli pad.

TommyBear, how does the Diabolo S hang on there. You must have another place of honor for it.
