Default Terminology

It may sound stupid but is there anywhere I can find out what the heli terminology is? I don't know what nose in, tail in, side in or really any of it means. It would help me understand things alot better. What is a pirouette? I've always flown walmart helis and never needed help so I'm now reading this forum a lot since i got my first fixed pitch heli. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have a look at: https://www.helifreak.com/faq.php?fa...faq_hfglossary

Nose-In - Any maneuver that points the nose of the helicopter directly at the pilot. Usually used when describing hovering with the nose pointed towards the pilot.

Tail-In - Any maneuver that points the tail of the helicopter directly at the pilot. Usually used when describing hovering with the tail pointed towards the pilot.

Pirouette - A maneuver that rotates the tail of the helicopter through a full 360 degrees, ideally on the spot (originally a ballet term)

A pirouette on a balanced coaxial heli is trivial (as it has no translating tendency lean). This is a lot more challenging on a fixed pitch (FP) or collective pitch (CP) single main rotor heli.
