Default SFR2 Speed Fuselage for TDR

Perhaps for nothing; but here is SFR2, version two of the Speed Flying Rigid (Schnell Fliegen Rigid) Speed Fuselage for the TDR. Narrower and shorter in length than SFR1.

Regards,
Rick

As usual, very nice work. I can't wait to see it run at the Speed Cup

Beautiful!, narrower yes, why shorter, overall, or running shorter tail section?, curious as usually aerodynamics improve with length, up to a point off course.
Wish you luck

Thank you all for your kind words. I have a lot of hours in it, but I have also learned a lot from it so far.

@ helicraze: I don't know yet. I still need to recover from making the first one. Ask me after IRCHA. I don't think I'm allowed to discuss it here, so I'll have to post in the manufacturers section if I decide to make it available. At least this time I made a mold.

@ Stolla: Thanks for your comments. It's the nose that is a little shorter in length compared to SFR1. Just trying to keep the frontal area (with nose down) and side area under control, but it's all just a guess. No computer simulations here. Last year we had a crosswind that slowed us down a bit.

Regards,
Rick

The SFR and SFR2 do not use the TDR boom supports. The rear fuselage is structural support for the tailboom and replaces the tailboom supports.

If you want to produce a few for sale we can put a link up in the upgrades sticky - no problem, HF doesn't seek to stifle innovation, just don't want the threads to get cluttered with spam or abused by commercial enterprises!
