I'm sure there is plenty to see down there in Illinois!
Of course everything is al brown right now, kinda sucks, but when spring finally wakes up there will be a lot more to shoot.

It's pretty wild. I shot that picture on Saturday, the ice was over a foot thick and very solid. This morning I looked out and the ice had the look of being crystallized and ready to break up at the drop of a hat.

Don't laugh. Come hurricane season with a direct hit, that's submerged. We're about 30 mins from the gulf.
Joys of being 3 feet above sea level.

Yikes!
I live on a lake, and we occasionally get flood levels due to lake level mis-management but at least we have time to prepare, and the storms are never violent like a hurricane!
