That seems to be the problem.

No JLC, no use of JLog..

How about a Windows emulator?

Tell me your setup (number of motor poles, reduction ratio 1:nn or # tooth pinion/maingear) and I'll send you a CONFIG.txt here.

Can't be no long term solution for you...

Tom

Hei Thank you. Here are my numbers 10 motor poles and gear ratio 12,36:1

This would help me alot. Till i find a windows computer

I use a emulator but cant get to install the JLC on my windows tells me something about a service pack in german

I think i will have to just bite the dust and buy a small netbook with windows installed .

Okay.., but I forgot to ask for the firmware version of the JLog2 (You find it in "version.txt" on the SD). The first charge delivered was initially flashed with version 3.1, the next one with 3.2.1, the current release is 3.2.2_32.135.

W'd be a good idea to flash with the last release at first.
This is a 2-step update, find everything related here: http://62.153.249.80/jlog/download

Attached three versions of a CONFIG.TXT (please rename then), #1 for firmware 3.1, #2 for 3.2.1, #3 for the current 3.2.2.

Content: 10-pole, 1:12.36, Reset off, LogStop on, HPW off, no alarms configured, no alarm lines, no optional sensors, telemetry==Unidisplay.

Cheers
Tom

I've got the same problem. Maybe a firmware version I need to charge..?? When I plug in the Unidisplay, it says no device connected. I have my Jlog setup ok, and logging from my HJive ok. I'm running firmware 3.2.2 32.149 in my Jlog.

I've attached my Jlog config file to this post. Does that config look ok..?? I'm running a Kontronik 700-52 10-pole motor, 12t pinion and 112t main gear on a Trex700E, with 4500 12S Hyperion packs.

Do I need to change my Jlog firmware to get the UniDisplay to work at the field..???

Many thanks...

Ok... so after doing some german to english translation, I take it that I do need to update my Jlog2 firmware to work with the UniDisplay.

From what I read, I need to flash in JLog2_3.2.2EEPROM_32.255.bin first, then flash in JLog2_3.2.2_H32.151.bin second. I did this process, and my version.txt file on the root of my SD card now says 3.2.2 H32.151, so it seems that the update did load/flash ok. I then copied my config file (backed it up before flashing) back onto the root of my SD card.

However when I connect my UniDisplay, I still get a no device connected error message. Not sure what to try next.

Any thoughts out there..???

Thanks

Mark R

Still no luck.. After re-reading the Jlog site in English translation, I reflashed Jlog2 with the JLog2_3.2.2EEPROM_32.255.bin firmware, then tried the JLog2_3.2.2_32.151.bin firemware second, as I am not running any telemetry out of the Jlog. Then copied my config file back onto the root of the SD. Still no luck.. The UniDisplay still says no device connected.... I;m not sure what to try next. Any thoughts out there..???

Hi Mark!

You need to configure the telemetry (COM interface) for "Unidisplay" by JLC!

This is the last standard version with HoTT v4 supporting Unidisplay also.
That is the last pre-HoTT standard firmware not only supporting Unidisplay (besides other) than also "jbJLC", the online configurator running on JETIbox and Unidisplay.

Click "Unidisplay" in the JLC and it should work.

Hi Tom,

That did the trick. I selected "Unidisplay" in the JLC and it now connects and displays information fromt he JLog2. The only trick now is working out "what it can display" and "how"..???? The UniDisplay came in a little snap-lock see-through bag with no intruction nor information.

Can I use the UniDisplay to look at the log from the previous flight, that is stored in the JLog2 on the SD card..????

Does anyone have a URL to an instruction on how to use the UniDisplay and what it can do..????

Thanks...

No, not a single dot matrix display is good enough for usable viewing of log data.

The Unidisplay shows the same as a JETIbox does, the only difference is that Unidisplay can be used "wired" only, not for a common telemetry (wireless). Exception is "JTX", my D.I.Y. telemetry.

We have 5 pages:

page 1: Ubat, Imot, rpmUni (geared), mAh
page 2: Ubec, Ibec, throttle, rpmUni(again), PWM
page 3: tempPA (FET temperature), tempBEC, power (W), rpmMotor
page 4: "eSense" - external sensors (Jlog-own sensors), temperatures, rpm, voltage
page 5: min/max values: UbatMin, UbecMin, ImotMax, IbecMax, PowerMax (W)

Navigation through the pages by "+"/"-"

With a firmware w/o HoTT telemetry (see above) we have the "jbJLC" in addition, a JLC subset for online configuration of JLog.
Entering jbJLC by "ESC", stepping through the changeable values by "ENT"/"ESC", changing values with "+"/"-". Exit on the last jbJLC page by "save" or "discard" and "+".

Tom

Btw: The best display, even for use by wired connection, is the SmartBox from Graupner (telemetry selection == HoTT), 8x 21 characters.

Thanks Tom... I'll have another play with the UniDisplay and see if it makes a bit more sense now...

Many thanks, once again....
